Dry skin is now the least of my worries on a winters day out, thanks to the BritMums #MyAquaphor challenge. It is getting colder by the day and whilst I dream of Sunday afternoons curled up infront of the fire and watching a film on the TV, I have three boys. Three boys with lots of energy. They like to get out and explore, so we need to get wrapped up warm and go for a walk or a bike ride.
At Halloween we had fun exploring the grounds at Waddesdon Manor. The boys loved their Halloween trail, but there was a problem. Middle man suffers from dry skin. It usually starts as chapped lips and then he licks and rubs his skin as a short term fix. Before you know it, his skin is red raw. Trying to get him to put any kind of moisturiser on it is a battle.
Fear not, we now have a solution! We have been sent a sample of Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm to try. It claims to give dry to very dry, cracked and irritated skin the SOS care it needs. And it is! Middle man is often funny about products he uses on his skin. He doesn’t like strongly scented moisturisers, or ones that “sting.” The Aquaphor has done the trick. It is quite thick and a little greasy but it works really well. It comes in a handy 45ml size so I can pop it in my handbag to take out with us on our winters days out.
My new motto is wrap up warm and remember the Aquaphor!

My Mom loves this stuff and I’m always pinching hers when I’m at her house. I need to buy my own! #TriedTested
It’s so important to look after your skin at this time of year isn’t it – I’m guilty of not paying mine enough attention.
It’s rotten seeing our children suffer isn’t it? Great to hear how you got on with Aquaphor – commenting for myself and on behalf of BritMums and thanking you for taking part.
