Since I first heard about Kinema in the Woods, I had wanted to visit. An old style cinema in Woodall Spa.
This summer I finally got to visit Kinema in the woods. My parents booked us tickets a couple of days before online as it was the summer holidays and the showing of Toy Story 4 was filling up fast. There are 3 different screening rooms and ours held around 90 people and was sold out when we got there.
One of the refreshing things about the cinema is the cost of food and drinks. Yes they are marginally more expensive than buying in a supermarket but not by much. Nothing like the rip off prices in all of the large cinema chains.
As a result, when the interval came, I told you it was old fashioned, I was quite happy purchasing refreshments.
If you are in the area then a visit to Kinema in the Woods at Woodall Spa is a lovely step back in time. I am even told that if you book the last showing on a Saturday you may be treated to an organist at the interval. Now I need to go back to see that!
