Little man was very excited to hear that we were going to visit the Peter Rabbit Playground or “Peter Rabbit Land” as he liked to call it. Willows activity farmis based in St Albans, just a couple of minutes off junction 22 of the M25. It is one of those places that would be good to meet friends half way at, due to it’s location.
Their Summer Spectacular is currently running with goat racing and a maize maze, along with many other activities. There is an all inclusive ticket which I have to say is great for parents. I hate it when you pay to go somewhere and then end up shelling out more money on rides inside that the children really want to do. Big man was over the moon that he could pan for gold and get a medal all included in his ticket. There were inflatables and fairground rides that again are all included.
You can purchase 2 bags of animal feed for £1. My boys love feeding animals so that was a must.
They were also happy to pet a guinea pig. Although middle man did ask not to have the one with red eyes as it freaked him out.
The goat racing was fun. You get to chose your goat and are given a coloured disc. The goats then race and if your goat wins you are given a badge. Middle man was so pleased when his goat won. Unfortunately my “Billy no mates” wasn’t in the mood for racing and came in 5th.
This year the Peter Rabbit Playground opened at Willows Activity Farm. I told the boys that I just wanted to have a look at it, as I didn’t think they would be interested. I was wrong. They loved it. It is so nicely done and perfect for small children. Little man planted radishes, and played in Mrs Tiggywinkles house. Even big man found a puzzle that he enjoyed doing.
It was the first maize maze that I have done and to make it more appealing for the children, there is a activity sheet where you rub off numbers to reveal a message when you find Peter Rabbit and his friends in the maize. This was good fun even if the boys did keep running off to fast in excitement.
There were various activities at Willows and we couldn’t fit them all in. The boys really enjoyed it and have been asking when we can go back. I was impressed with the amount of covered picnic seats (well you need them in the UK!) and toilets around the park. If you are planning on going you can get the best prices if you book online a week in advance.

This looks like an adorable place to visit. Perfect for children #countrykids
Willows farm does look like a great family day out. I am totally taken with goat racing and will have to put this one to Farmer Nick. Did they rattle a bucket of feed at the end to get them to run? Peter Rabbit is a lovely theme for them to be holding at the moment and I’ve always fancied having a go at a maize maze.
Thank you for sharing a great day out on #CountryKids

We used to live in Herts and when my kids were young we had passes to Willows so I was always there. it is a great place and looks like it has been revived fabulously. Mich x

This looks an amazing place – I have a feeling this is where my eldest went with her auntie the other week. I didn’t realise it was quite so good! Definitely on my must-see places now! I hate it too when you pay a fortune to go somewhere then pay extortionate amounts on top for the added extras and that is all the children want to do – it is great that all things like that are included here! I love maize mazes too, but I have never tried one with the children! #CountryKids
Peter Rabbit is one of my son’s fave character and I can only imagine what his reaction would be if we go here!
Lovely lovely place for kids to visit and looks like you had a blast!
