This year, I decided to jump on the latest craze of wreath making by attending a wreath making class at Daizeys Den which is situated in Holme Grange Craft village in Wokingham. If your Facebook feed is anything like mine, all the cool kids are doing it. (Or all the 40 something Mums at least.) Whilst I have been on many a cake baking and cookery course, this was my first flower arranging one. Thankfully, I really enjoyed it and hopefully it wont be my last.
We were greeted by the owner Nikki and given a mulled wine or cup of tea and our moss rings were on the table. Nikki explained how we needed to cut up pieces of our blue spruce and attach the to the sides of our wreaths.
Once we were happy with the sides we covered the top, before choosing our decorations. There were so many to choose from. From baubles to dried chili’s. This is were everyone’s individuality came out.
I decided to go all natural, with a range of dried fruit.
And here is the finished product, which I am really pleased with.
Nikki runs a variety of courses and it is well worth checking out the Daizeys Den Facebook page for any upcoming events. The wreath making cost £35 for the 2 hour workshop, and I would happily go again.
As you can see I am rather proud of my creation!
Have you been on a wreath making course that you would recommend?
